Pastor James Wiley

James Wiley is the pastor of Church Hill Baptist Church in Augusta, Maine. He helped start this ministry in 2000 while working in banking. In 2001, he felt called by God to preach and left his banking job to become the full-time assistant pastor in July 2002. In November 2003, the church voted him in as senior pastor. Over the past twelve years, he has had a strong desire to see more churches planted or revitalized in Maine. Church Hill Baptist Church has sent several men to rural areas of Maine to lead small churches that were at risk of closing or lacked a Bible-believing Baptist presence. The members of Church Hill Baptist are dedicated to supporting young men in ministry and helping these churches thrive through financial assistance and hands-on help. Pastor Wiley has been married to his wife Karen for 31 years, and they have four children: Rachel, Isabelle, Anderson, and Ethan.
